Black history month should be a daily celebration. Every time I look in the mirror or see a fellow black or brown colleague, friend or family member, I am certain that our history in the USA did not define us. We are more than a few stories in history books. We are more than the inventions we created. We are more than the lives we have saved and improved. We are spirit. We are human. We are honorable. We are compassionate people. We are a collective community. We are royalty. We belong. We deserve respect. We are a part of the fabric that makes the globe a better place. We are more than black. We are God's people. We were; we are; we will. - Dr. Cunningham
