Anne Cofone, lcsw, edd (abd)
My therapeutic focus is influenced by working in the healthcare field both as a licensed clinical social worker and a registered nurse. I am currently completing my doctorate at Bay Path University. Focus is on identifying providers’ perspectives on working with vulnerable populations and developing training strategies to assist providers to practice empathic and comprehensive care.
Practice experience in the social work field includes over 25 years in acute care hospital, community and hospice care settings. I have diverse professional experience working with vulnerable populations including persons with psychiatric diagnoses across the lifespan, homeless individuals, victims of domestic violence, undocumented persons, hospice, palliative care and end-of-life concerns, and those who self-identify as outside of the gender binary, as gender fluid or transgender. My goal is to meet you where you are and help guide you along your journey.
I utilize a collaborative approach with clients, respectful of each person as an individual as well as a member of their identified support network.
